This is the terms and conditions under which you use the website Easy French With Eliane and Chantal and its products you purchase.

It includes all transactions made on this platform.

By using the website, and its products you agree to these terms.

SELF-PACED COURSES:

Intellectual Property

All the content on the website, including, but not limited to, the copy, design, layout, visuals, data, and documents; is the intellectual property of Eliane Paauwen from Easy French With Eliane, unless expressed otherwise on specific parts of the website.

Use of the content without agreement is punishable by law. You are not allowed to, without permission:

  • Translate any of the content or copy of the website, or the course content in another language
  • Re-post any of the content or copy of this website,
  • Claim or insinuate that any of the content or copy or visuals on Easy French With Eliane or on any website related to Eliane Paauwen, is yours.

Information we collect and how we protect your privacy

Your privacy is important to us. We do not share or sell personal information with third-parties nor do we store information we collect about your visit. 

The information we collect is collected in order to understand how you use the website and help us to serve you better. (via Google Analytics & Facebook Pixel)

We also collect information like the time you spend on the website and which pages you visit (although we do not cross your personal information and your behaviour data).

 

Purchase conditions

To purchase a course or a product on Easy French with Eliane, you must been at least 18 years old.

We are doing our best to restrict the access to minors, even though the content of our products and services is appropriate for minors.

Any order on Easy French With Eliane is a proof of your agreement to these conditions.

Prices can be modified at any moment, but the price displayed when you click on order is guaranteed.

Payment is required when you order, even for pre-orders.

All purchases are made on the platform Podia.

You can pay via PayPal – the payment is secured by them. Security guaranty is managed by Paypal.

Appointments for the coaching and services will be taken directly with Eliane Paauwen.

Access to the courses and downloadable products will be through the platform Podia. 

No refund will be authorized for all purchases made on Easy French With Eliane (unless expressed otherwise in the product or service description).

All products are downloadable so no return will be possible.

Links and third party websites

Our service may contain links to third-party websites or services that are not owned or controlled by Eliane Paauwen.

Eliane Paauwen has no control over and assumes no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third party websites or services. 

You further acknowledge and agree that Eliane Paauwen shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods or services available on or through any such websites or services.

We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third-party websites or services that you visit.

 

Affiliates

Eliane Paauwen may promote affiliate links, and partner with brands on occasion. Every affiliate link and partner programs links will clearly be stated as.

Note that every affiliate and partner program has been carefully selected for its quality. We truly believe and trust all the products we endorse and recommend.

Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of France, without regard to its conflict of law provisions.

Our failure to enforce any right or provision of these Terms will not be considered a waiver of those rights. If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court, the remaining provisions of these terms will remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement between us regarding our Service, and supersede and replace any prior agreements we might have between us regarding the Service.

Changes

This policy is subject to change without notice.

By continuing to access or use our Service after those revisions become effective, you agree to be bound by the revised terms. If you do not agree to the new terms, please stop using the Service.

ZOOM TUITION

A. PAYMENT INSTRUCTIONS

PACKAGE LESSONS MUST BE PAID ONE WEEK BEFORE THE FIRST LESSON. 
 
Zoom lessons packages must be payed by transfer. No paypal payment is possible. 
 
We advise you to use “transferwise.com”.
 
 B. LATE CONNECTION OR TECHNICAL DIFFICULTIES

If the student is late for his/her scheduled lesson, the lesson will end at its regularly scheduled time. The teacher will call at the agreed upon time, and wait for the student for ten minutes (during which the student can call to start the lesson). After 10 mn, the lesson will be considered cancelled by the student. 

· If the teacher cannot reach the student because of technical difficulties inherent to the student or his/her location (including but not limited to bad phone connection, bad internet connection, Skype/Zoom being down, low battery etc...), the teacher will try for 15 minutes and then the lesson will be considered cancelled by the student. Payment for the session will be due in full (deducted from the prepaid amount).

· If the technical difficulties are inherent to the teacher or her location, the teacher may not be able to contact the student at all. She will contact him/her as soon as possible, and  the lesson will be rescheduled. 

If you send a message to the teacher, she will always either acknowledge it or reply. If she doesn't, it means she didn't get the message.
 
 
C. Cancellations

Please understand that a cancellation has a major impact on us because it won’t be possible to have any other student at that time, therefore a cancellation notice should be given at least 48 hours prior to the lesson. Less than 48 hours, the amount due for the session will be paid in full (deducted from the prepaid amount). 

FRENCH IMMERSION STAY

YOUR IMMERSION PROGRAM

- We have breakfast together around 9.00.
- Then we go further with the lessons.
- Around 12.00, we start cooking the lunch. You are welcome to help if you like. It’s another
opportunity for you to speak and a way to share some recipes. :-)
- We eat together at lunch.
- In the afternoon, you will be free (with or without homework, your choice) and twice a week
we will go for an outing together.
- In the evening, you will eat alone. There are a lot of left over, but also a lot of take away
restaurants, restaurants and supermarkets in both our towns.



PAYMENT CONDITIONS :

Please refer to the page of your teacher to know the price of your immersion stay.

30% of the amount is required for the booking of your stay. The balance has to be paid 2 month before your arrival.

The payment is only possible by transfer. 

We advise you to use " transferwise.com ", because it's very easy and secure and they charge you less fees than a normal bank. 

Understand that the transfer fees are at your charge. The amount received has to be the same that the one required on the site. 

Please notice that the entree fees to castle, museum etc. are not included. 



CANCELLATION POLICY:

Please understand that a cancellation has a major impact on our family since many students make their travel plans way ahead of time, and it is extremely difficult to find an immersion student at the last minute, leaving us without income if you cancel on us.

Cancellation is, however, possible up to three months before your planned arrival: your deposit will be refunded minus 100 Euros of processing fee.

Should you need to cancel your stay less than three months before your planned arrival, you would, unfortunately, have to forfeit the deposit. 

The balance will have to be paid 2 months before your arrival and won’t be refunded in case of last-minute cancellation. Therefore, we advise you to take a cancellation insurance.
